Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the year 1966. She was born into an affluent family. The youngest of the children of three. While in a convent, she discovered an appreciation for the arts. Then she was enrolled at the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin, but left because she didn't have the drive and decided to be able to take a few years off to think about it. In the meantime, as she was sitting at a caf with her friends, she was approached by a still photographer, who was asking her if she'd like to be a model. She agreed, thinking she'd be able to take the money to pocket money. Modeling proved both entertaining and lucrative. And within a short time, she began to model professionally. Modeling contracts lead to commercial opportunities, which would take her across the globe. Then, one day, a casting director was impressed by her work and recommended she consider acting instead. In the year she turned 19, the casting director accompanied her to London where she immediately won an audition to be a part of A View to a Kill the newest James Bond film. The actress was so enthralled by acting, she considered pursuing a career this direction. After the first film she acted in was made, she shot several TV shows in London and Dublin however her biggest success came when her name was chosen to play Aryan sexual seductress, Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
