Sundar Pichai-1-1024x630Buffett announced that he would like to give more than 80 percent of his fortune to foundations that support charitable causes; in 2020 he raised that amount to a whopping 99 percent. Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation which was established by Bill Gates and Melinda (the Microsoft founder) was the main beneficiary. The foundation focused on education and health in the world. Bill and Buffett had been friends since the 1990s. The three Buffett children and the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation (named after his wife) were among the organizations that were the recipients of donations. They focused on the rights of women's reproductive health, provided college scholarshipsand additional charities. The Giving Pledge was an invitation for wealthy individuals to give a large portion of their fortune to charities, created by Buffett and Gates in 2010.
